Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko: Everything Flows addpermalink

Both She and Her Cat: Everything Flows and My Roommate is a Cat focus on a human and a cat as the main characters and explore the profoundly meaningful relationship that can foster between an owner and their pet and the large impact that cats can have on their owners lives. My Roommate is a Cat is more comedy oriented while She and Her Cat seems more subtle, but both shows deal with more mature themes than the typical cat themed kids show and are sure to touch the hearts of anyone who knows what it's to share a meaningful bond with a pet.

Gakuen Babysitters addpermalink

Both are powerful bittersweet tales about a character moving on from their parents deaths and learning the ropes of guardianship as they begin to take care of another. Gakuen Babysitters differs as the protagonist becomes the guardian of his younger brother and begins working as a babysitter for a school. While My Roommate is a Cat involves the protagonist looking after a pet cat. If you enjoyed the sweet, heartwarming environment one created you will likely enjoy the other as well.

Cat Lovers Unite!!! If you are an animal lover and a cat lover in particular then you will absolutely love both of these series. Both of these series are great examples of what it is like to have a cat. Inu to Neko shows what it is like to have a cat from the human perspective, while My Roommate is a Cat shows the life of a cat from the cat's perspective. If you love animals, then you will absolutely love both series.

Hinamatsuri addpermalink

Both shows deal with the concept of family and learning to love and care for others. While Hinamatsuri doesn't have a cute cat protagonist it really doesn't need one. It surly makes up for the lack of cuteness giving the viewer much more laughs than i personally got from My Roommate is a Cat.

Both are stories about how a man comes to terms living with a new "pet", and how it affects both their lives. Similar style of comedy as well.

Mikan Enikki addpermalink

They are both slice of life series about cats being adopted into new families. One difference is that in "Mikkan Enikki," the male cat Mikkan is adopted by the Kusanagi family (Mr. & Mrs. Kusanagi plus the son Tom) while in "My Roommate is a Cat" the female cat Haru is adopted by a young single writer, Subaru Mikazuki. Second difference is that Mikan can actually speak Japanese, walk on two legs, read, write and has a particular appreciation for alcohol and he serves as a vehicle by which we can understand what the other pets are saying; while Haru can not speak to Subaru &nbspread more

3-gatsu no Lion addpermalink

Both stories start off with a depressive main character who doesn't communicate much with other people. They live on their own. They are very good at their work but they lack interactions with others. As the story goes on they find that "something" that keeps them going further in life (it's different for either series!)If you like stories like these, check them out!

Deaimon addpermalink

Themes that stood out to me in "My Roommate is a Cat" were regret over the relationships with family members lost, and how to make new relationships to overcome that regret."Deaimon" has a similar theme, in that a character is often brooding over the loss of a relationship and is being nearly prodded and dragged into new relationships, not to forget the old relationship, but to help heal the wounds."My Roommate is a Cat" happened to use a pet as the new relationship and portal to more new relationships, while "Deiamon" has a fully human cast.

Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shinai addpermalink

They are similar when we talk about the theme. Both MC is an Orphan get false promises from their parents because they are dead. It leave impacts on him,and then someone changed his life. Well in Dokyonin, instead of person,it's a cat that change our MC. If you are into romance, watch Tada-kun. But if you just want some anime to relax, Dokyonin is the choice.Oh,and both of them also have one Childhood friend who knows what's the best for our MC. Sometimes when you see them interact,it' kinda look like BL😆

I loved both of these anime series, and they are kinda similar. In both stories, there is a writer boy who lives alone and tries to write his next short novel. and they both trying to find a way to give them a push to write their story. in Doukyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue, there is a cat that helps him get himself together, and the other ones, his friends give him the power.hope you like it.

Chi's Sweet Home addpermalink

Both Chi and Haru are stray cats that are taken in by luck to a semi-reluctant new owner. (Semi-reluctant for different reasons mind you. Subaru likes to be alone, and the Yomada's landlady doesn't allow pets.) Both cats quickly adjust to being pets, and in both cases the humans end up keeping the stray cat they found.

Light-hearted and sometimes heartwarming, these two anime are aimed for individuals who are into adopting small adorable creatures as part of their family.

Kawaisugi Crisis addpermalink

Both series features many cats and taking care of them. Even though stories themselves are different (cat and normal person versus cat and alien), both are wholesome as they show the cat and owner relationship. Kawaisugi Crisis seems to focus on other animals as well, Doukyonin features on cats mainly. So yes, if you are looking for series with cats, you can check out both.

Sakura-sou no Pet na Kanojo addpermalink

In both series there are characters who don't know much about interacting with other people "normally". So many things normal people do every day is something bizarre to them or something they have never thought about. Also cats are featured a lot in both anime.

Sewayaki Kitsune no Senko-san addpermalink

Both are laid-back slice-of-life shows involving a guy who was living an ordinary, stressful life before having a chance encounter with an animal. Ever since then they live together and the guy's outlook on life has since improved through their friendship. In My Roommate is a Cat, the pet is a cat while in Senko-san, it's a fox girl who is doing the housework to ease his stress. The MC's perspective on life takes a huge turn for the better ever since meeting a new roommate and building their bonds.

Comedies about a pet trying to make sense of the human world while also doing pet things, i.e., mostly causing trouble. My Roommate Is A Cat has a more dramatic side to it while Lovely Muco is mostly just a comedy.

Two animes about the everyday life between a cat and their owner living together whilst being able to hear the thoughts from the cat's perspectives too.Main difference is that Dekiru Neko has a cat taking care of his owner but acts like an actual human due to his size in species whereas Doukyonin has a cat that is a normal sized cat that acts just like a cat though at times takes care of her owner too.Doukyonin is a story about healing and recovery with serious moments amidst lighthearted sections whereas Dekiru Neko is more in line with its comedy compared to but cat lovers &nbspread more

Two slice of life's with adult casts that revolves around pets and an author overcoming the grief of losing family members, main difference being that Hizaue only has the MC's parents passing away whereas Kinokoinu has the MC's parents plus their dog passing away and that one has a cat whereas the other one has a dog. They both have their light-hearted moments with interactions to their new pets but a fair bit of serious sad content with overcoming grief.Main difference is Hizaue is normal with its contents whereas Kinokoinu has a mushroom dog, which is very unnormal but the pet is also very smart and &nbspread more
